Don't Try and Escape It

Fifteen years ago I watched a video of my first public speech and cringed at almost every moment. Yesterday my wife gave me feedback and I still handled it poorly. Growth apparently doesn't get easier just because you know better. "Your ability to grow is directly related to how much truth you can handle about yourself without trying to escape it." The hardest part of growth was never the skill gap.
