In episode 19 of Season 4, Sanctuary, Law and Order pulls from multiple sources to concoct an episode that does NO favors to marginalized communities but Kincaid actually provides some valuable insight that aged quite well; We love to see growth! The episode is very reminiscent of The Crown Heights Riots, which we covered in a previous season, but is also based on the story of Rodney King. He may have become a lightning rod for controversy, discourse and social change, but this was never his intent - Enn takes behind the headlines and shines a light on many of the facts of the case that were eclipsed by the narrative at the time, and we discuss the ramifications of how this man's brutal beating was portrayed and "settled."Support the show
