Dooney Johnson Elevates Gonzaga's 2027 Class | Gonzaga Bulldogs Basketball News

Gonzaga just landed a national powerhouse in Dooney Johnson, the No. 11 ranked guard in the 2027 class, who’s already making waves with his fearless play and elite passing for his size. After dominating the EYBL circuit and earning first-team honors, Johnson joins a loaded class that includes future stars like Kager Knueppel and Ryan Hampton — though those two are headed to Duke and Kentucky. Scouts see him as a future two-way superstar, especially with his defensive instincts and growing offensive game. Assistant coach Zach Norvell played a key role in recruiting him, and their similarities are undeniable. But Gonzaga isn’t stopping there — they’re still chasing Jalen Davis and Gene Roebuck, two top-50 recruits who had standout summers. With Kraziness in the Kennel just around the corner, the Bulldogs are clearly building for a championship-caliber future.
