Dori and I had such a genuine conversation, and I was sooo thrilled when she shared that after years of listening to what people said she should or should not do, she pushed it all aside and let herself go after what was calling her. This is what the startup journey is all about - letting your magic out. It seemed a natural fit to me for her to end up in kids books, but she says it "just sorta happened." She holds a BA in English, a secondary teaching certification, a Master’s degree in Human Services specializing in Schools and Communities, and creatively educated high and middle school English and Science students for ten years.After experiencing a life-changing illness, Dori quickly switched gears to follow her dream in kids books, both art and writing. From there she has expanded to include coaching other authors with creating their kids books.
