Dörries Shatters Records, Leads Bucknell

Bucknell freshman center Amon Dörries is making waves in his first college basketball season, earning All-Patriot League Second Team and All-Rookie Team honors, along with Rookie of the Week accolades six times. Leading his team in scoring with 16.1 points per game, hes been even more impressive in league play, averaging 18.6 points and shooting 56% from the field. Dörries has scored over 20 points in ten games this year, including a freshman record of 36 points against Boston University and 28 at Lehigh. With 499 points, hes broken the single-season freshman scoring record and is poised to be the first Bison freshman leading the team in scoring since 1976-77. Dörries marks Bucknells first All-Rookie pick since 2015 and is the first to grab both rookie honors and an all-league nod since Mike Muscala in 2010. The Bison earned the number eight seed in the Patriot League Tournament and host number nine Army Tuesday night, with Dörries riding a four-game streak of 20-plus points.
