DOTS : Forgotten Cities Pt. 1
from Eargasmic Recordings · host Eargasmic Recordings
The debut full length album from DOTS aka Eargasmic co-founder Akila Figueroa. The album was written, produced and arranged during a 2 week period in the Spring of 2018, mixed by EGC's Daryl Cura and mastered by Emphasis Recordings label head Steven Tang. Unlike his previous four to the floor House and Techno releases under the name Isoke and DOTS respectively, D.O.T.S. leans heavily toward a more psychedelectronic sound. What started off as a joke of sorts ended up becoming much more personal as the songs became more realized. Hidden behind the obvious occult and conspiracy theory themed song titles is an album about love, loss and new beginnings. Overcome with grief from the death of his sister and his best friend, who both past away within a year of another, as well as the death of his girlfriend who had past away a few years prior, DOTS transformed his sorrow into something truly positive through his music.
