Welcome. Welcome to a limited Sierra King me production. What are we calling it? Oh, oh, no.
Play represents play me play me. I guess, but that sounds like we're tricking each other. Yeah. Well, but I guess we are.
We are. Oh, Dan has a hiccup. Yep. Oh, it's like his life.
Man off to just a rip roaring start here on play me a king me presentation. This is our limited run where we're discussing various filmic adaptations of video games. And I'm remembering I wanted the theme song to be the Lana Del Rey song video games. Oh, this is not this cannot continue.
This will not stand. The problem is worse. I thought. Are you able to do this?
I honestly don't know nothing is working right now. Yeah, see that. Do you want to post? Yeah, but don't delete any of this.
No, all this stays. Well, we're gonna fucking kill myself. This sucks so bad. So all right.
I don't know what to do. I know. There's nothing to do. We'd out this horrible affliction that you have.
What if it never gets any better? That could happen. Dan, it will get better. I'll be like one of those guys who laughs to death.
You know the guy. There's like a guy in ancient Greece who saw a donkey eating a basket of figs and laughs so hard he died. Oh, man, that shit is funny though. At first you hear it.
You're like, I don't get it. And then you think about it. Like, no, that's that's funny. No, that's pretty funny.
That's pretty funny. And you had to be there too. Thank God. Because otherwise that might have been the end of the human race.
Yeah, you're coughing. I'm coughing. Yeah. Okay, it's not a good start to 2025.
I'm gonna stop recording. All right, we'll be right back. And we're back. We're back.
We're so back. We're so back. Dan's okay now. I use the home remedy.
My little secret. How about this? I'll tell you about it. I'll tell you all about it at patreon.com slash kingmepod.
You want to you want to the cure for hiccups? Head on over to patreon.com slash kingmepod. That's right. That's right.
That's the cheapest health care available in the United States of America. Yeah. We'll we'll tell you how to cure the hiccups, the dizzy's. I actually don't have anything for the dizzy's to you.
You gotta sit down. Oh, you sound dizzy. Anyway, anyway, this is a well and new problem is presented itself. This is play me.
It is play me. Play me. You're sort of double dragons here. Dan and Rob Lee.
Ugg and home. Come on. Come on. I wouldn't say that about Scott Wolf or Mark Dukoskis.
No, these are a couple of hunks, I think. And thank God, because they're not really actors. And Scott Wolf, I'll say this. I over estimated him as a martial artist.
I so man, this movie, it's so strange, Dan. And it's so silly. And it's not good. I wouldn't say it's like a good movie at all.
But there is something about it that I really like. And I wish that they still made movies like this. It has the energy of a toy commercial from the era. Very much like a toy commercial.
I'm going to call this I'm going to introduce a new exploitation. Like a wait, do you have a is it toys, exploitation? It's not but the toys toys toys. Toys toys is way better than what I was going to say.
But I mean, this is slightly different from toys, exploitation. Anyway, I was going to say kids rule, exploitation. Yeah, which this kind of is, kind of. There's also a good amount of cops.
Go cops, but in a, I mean, you know, this is not attached to reality in any way. So I guess that's fine. If you want to be like, the cops are the only thing standing between us and bow a bow bow. I guess that's fine.
Yeah. It's, yeah, it's kids rules, flotation. By the way, I thought you were going to like that a lot more than you did. I like it.
Okay. This movie feels very much like Super Mario Brothers, the movie, not in that it's like, oh, it's about weird dinosaurs and like an underground, whatever. But the budget feels the same. And it's like this weird world that doesn't exist.
You know, it's not like totally, it doesn't seem like it's based on our reality at any point, you know. No, but whereas Super Mario Brothers feels like a thing unto itself where you're like, I've never seen a movie, anything like that. This feels a lot more like a hodgepodge of other stuff. Sure.
In fact, it feels a little bit escape from LA and a little bit big trouble in little China. A little bit, a little bit. It's really, I was getting strong warrior vibes from this. Well, sure.
The warriors. Not that they kind of abandoned that pretty early on though. They're like, there's the clown gang and that's the mohawk gang and that is it. Everyone else is a good guy in the power core.
Yeah, everybody else is in the power core. But that one scene where, hold on, I don't want to get this name wrong here. Alyssa Milano. Koga Shuko addresses all of the gangs and he says, I am now your leader, right?
That was almost like a can you dig it moment? Totally. Not near. Way less.
Yeah, no grunts. Yeah. But yeah. Although I got to say, I did love Robert Patrick in this.
He's, he's handed it up. I love this look. It's a great look. Great look.
Yeah, it's just a weird fucking movie that exists. No notes. Yeah. Perfect movie.
So strange that this came out in 1994. I remember seeing this and definitely thinking he came out earlier because it was so kind of shitty and it's weird. It's just weird to think that this came out like after Pulp Fiction or something, you know, like relative to like other things. It's just strange.
Arguably different audiences. Of course, of course. But yeah, so let's see. Directed by James Yukicch.
I'm gonna say. Yeah, that feels right. Jim, more of a music video director. A lot of music videos under his belt.
And a lot of Chelsea lately stuff. Really? Yeah, a lot of Chelsea Handler projects. Interesting.
Yeah. Yeah, I'm seeing that here. Oh, wow. Yeah, he does a lot of like concert filming too.
Yes. Including Bill Mar, live from Silicon Valley, his special crazy stupid politics. Okay. I think I'm gonna throw that on him.
I learned something. New rule. Everything has to be random. I you mentioned you mentioned his relationship with Chelsea lately herself.
Yeah. He did direct the best named special of all time. Yukanda be kidding me. Yeah.
Yeah. Professional comedian. Yeah. Gets paid to do that.
Must be nice. Yeah. So I see here Paul Deene is one of the writers on this movie. The great, the great Paul Deene.
Yeah, the great Paul Deeney. But actually, he created Mr. J's best gal. Yeah.
He's a guy responsible for everybody else. Joker Faliadu. Yeah. Faliadu.
Blaine Paul. Yeah, it's weird to see like Paul Deeney had a hand in writing the double dragon movie. Like a Jeff Loeb, who's another comic book writer, author, whatever, he he had a hand in writing Teen Wolf, Michael J. Fox movie.
That's it. That's a real insight, I think, into the mind of the Hollywood producer of the time where they're like, what is what's youth culture like besides a movie? They're like comic books. We'll get a comic book to write the movie.
Yeah. Completely different in every way. Of course. Maybe so.
Who's it being? I think IMDB just went down. That's good. Anyway, so yeah, we got who's in this movie.
We already said, well, we don't know IMDB is down. Well, right. We said Robert Patrick, he plays Koga Shugo, he takes his name from a Japanese warlord, but he is just a bleach blonde white guy. Is he is he the reincarnation?
No, he's not. No, he's not. But he was talking to what's her name? Like they knew each other.
I mean, they may have known each other. So Tory. But it doesn't seem like they knew each other in a past life. Yeah.
Socialization. Okay. Very good. Now Koga Shugo.
Yep. Was that a character from the game? See, this is the thing. The game is just like, it's like a side scroller, like arcade game.
It's really just like, you know, two guys, one dressed in red, one dressed in blue, and they get to like, the two colors of the time. Yeah. They need to like walk from left to right and like fight street gang members. It's like, you know, just sort of a dumb game.
They should honestly should have hit the gang aspect a little harder. I think I guess budget constraints, they don't do that. Yeah. I mean, it looks like the budget might have been tight on this.
Yeah. We don't know. But I don't know. They had all that money for green ooze.
Yeah, there was a lot of green ooze wasn't there. Yeah. They also had money to visit. I will get to it.
But like the Kaya Hoga River on fire, the one river that famously did catch fire one time. Yeah. Huh. Really freak some people out in Ohio.
So Robert Patrick is in this. We have Mark Discoscus. Discoscus. Discoscus.
Yeah. As Jimmy Lee, one of the Lee brothers. Red. He's red.
That's his main character trait. He's red. Billy Lee played by Scott Wolf. From party of five.
From party of five. And he's blue. What's that from where they keep referring to him as party of five? Scott Wolf.
I don't know. It feels familiar. But party of five Scott Wolf in blue. Yeah.
It's a classic like Billy in blue is a bit of a silly. A wise ass. Yeah. Silly guy.
He's a silly Billy. And Jimmy is more serious. He's, he's, I don't know, trying to get things done. He's like a Leonardo of the group.
He's trying to actually learn martial arts, which you can say for Billy, who's content to just like jump on his opponent and ride him like a, like a horsey. Yeah. I mean, I'm not going to say it like, this is the thing about like movies at this time, like karate movies or whatever. There's so many of them.
And it was just like, if you were a karate kid like myself, man, you're just so into any of it. Italian karate enthusiasts. That's sound. Yes.
Wait, speaking of which, yeah, did you see someone's suggestion for a way to incorporate our heritage into the show? Oh, yeah. What was it? It was something I'm pulling it up.
It was funny. It was funny. Oh, he said we should, I don't know if it's call it call the series this maybe resident EVOO. Yeah.
Thank you. Jeff, that was good. That made me laugh. Yeah, that was good.
Evu. Oh, who was it an evu? Mama Mia, all of these zombies. You got to, you got to dice them up with the, the razor with the laser real thin.
Yeah. I can't wait, by the way, to watch Resident Evil and watch that person get turned into cubes. That's like the best part of the movie. By far, it's such a good idea to have someone get cubed.
Something that would happen to like, Daffy Duck. Yes. Yeah, we'll love it. Anyway, we'll get there.
We'll get there. Also in this film, Alyssa Milano. Yep. Italian excellence.
Yeah. Also, can't act. Yeah, it's really funny. Nobody in this to really act very well.
How about the brazen, just like, little just like shots of her ass? Yeah. That was really something, huh? They, they were, yeah, they were like shooting like her ass and then, you know, the, the two main character Jimmy and Billy would both be like, oh, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Oh, that kind of thing. But it was just like, all right, now Alyssa, this is the part where you bend over and we get a, you know, we zoom in on your butthole. Here's your wardrobe. Oh, there seems to be a problem with my pants.
Most of them are missing. Yeah. No, no, no, that's right. I will say though, all things considered, all things being equal.
Yeah. Love her look. Sure. Great look.
The crazy blonde crop thing. Yeah, like the pixie cut. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. It's good. She looks like a cartoon character. Definitely.
It's, this is like one of those really low budget. It almost feels like a street to video kind of movie from this time. If this was made by like, Canon, it would make a lot of sense to me, you know? I think they may have misappropriated the budget on the triad of cameos we get early on in the film of George Hamilton, Madam Wai, and Andy Dick.
Oh, yeah. I forgot about that. He's there. Yeah.
Andy Dick in 1994, I guess that's enough to be like, oh, yeah, people know who that is. Maybe? Right. Well, it's like, yeah, it's like, all right, well, this is a youth culture kind of we're playing to the kids who are the kids love.
Well, probably George Hamilton. Yeah, George Hamilton. Probably George Hamilton. See if, um, see if he'll be lifted out of his vat of alcohol to appear in our movie.
Yeah. What's this movie? It doesn't matter, never mind. Vanuite.
I guess everyone at least knew who Vanuite was at that point. Sure. Right. Yeah.
Not known for speaking roles, but it also felt like they were there's some like really half-assed sort of like satire, I guess, happening here. Yeah. Right. And was that it?
It's like, oh, in the future, the news is entertainment and it's hosted by the likes of George Hamilton and Andy Frickin Dick is the weather man. Yeah. So like the initial sort of like, whatever, the quick backstory is that this is set in a, you know, a near future where a big earthquake has hit LA and it's like wiped out a lot of it. And now it's like a lot of street gangs and shit like that.
So when I saw George Hamilton and Vanuite as news anchors, I almost thought that it was like, oh, like all of the other celebrities had been like wiped out. Oh, they all fell into the crevasse. Yeah. And like we're kind of left with just these sort of like weird, you know, de-lists, see list celebrities, you know, people's like that read.
Yeah. Yeah. Maybe I'm doing too much work for double drag. You're giving them a lot of, yeah, giving them a lot of credit.
Who else we got here? We got Christina Wagner. The wag. Yeah, the wag who she's uh, she's been on general hospital for 85 years.
Yeah, she's on 1995 episodes of general hospital. That's right. So, I'm damn near 1,000 episodes of general hospital. Yeah.
Yep. Yep. She plays Linda Lash. She's got a whip.
Yeah. All you need to know, because that's all there is to know. Yep. And then there's Huey and Lewis played by, I'm sorry.
I didn't realize their names were Huey Lewis. Yeah. You didn't catch it when Robert Patrick says Huey Lewis. Any news?
Oh, no. I miss that. Yeah. I guess that's that went right over my head or something.
I wasn't paying attention. But yeah, they're played by two, like, Son, El Long, who has he's just been in every single 80s movie ever. He's just got a face. I love it.
Yeah. But what Nils Allen Stewart plays Bobo before he gets mutated into a giant freak. Yeah. They really just sort of slapped a bunch of crap on that guy.
They really did. Yeah. And then Julia Nixon plays Satori, who's kind of like she trains Billy and Jimmy. Yeah, she's a she's master splinter.
She's a little bit of master splinter. I know her from the movie Sidekicks, the Jonathan Brandis Chuck Norris movie from right around this time also. That's a thought. It's sure her name sounded familiar.
At least she's also she's definitely in a Rambo movie. I don't know if it's two or three. Two is to to when he goes back to Vietnam and he's like, oh, we love to win this time. I'm like a vampire.
I can't wait unless you grab your permission. That's right. Also in one episode of Star Trek Deep Space Nine. Well, cool.
It can be. There are people who think that's cool. Yeah, that's about it for the cast, right? I think.
So what is this movie, Dan? Like I said, the video game Double Dragon is almost nothing. It's like, you fight some guys and you get to a boss level and you fight the boss and then, you know, it's just one of those kind of things. Right.
Consistencies, Billy and Jimmy Lee. They are blue and red. Blue and red respectively. Yeah.
Marion is a non playable character. I think at least in the first one. Yeah. She's just sort of like the girl who's like, uh, uh, and then you're they're like, uh, she's, she's mine.
It's art first. Yes. Not unlike this movie, frankly. Yeah.
Yeah. Um, and I know, yeah, the Robert Patrick character was invented, but then put in a game that was released after the movie to just like as, or a boros of marketing. Sure. That makes sense.
Yeah. Bo Bo Bo Bo. I know it was definitely in the video game. Yeah.
Great name. Yes. I like him. Yeah.
He's steel. He looks a bunch of different ways in the game too. Yeah. Most of which, nothing like the roided out one.
Uh, I think that may have also been an invention of the movie to which I say why? Why did you do that? Yeah, you got to do stuff. I don't know.
So, um, yeah, uh, we got the, uh, the cold open of this is like, um, a group of like ninjas attacking a village of monks. It seems. Yeah. And, uh, it's where we're starting.
That's where we're starting. And, and they're killing all of these monks. They're, uh, they're looking for a medallion. We know that.
And then one of the monks leads them to the medallion. It's in a cave bunch of candles. Anytime I see a bunch of candles on screen, I'm like, somebody had to light all those, you know, just like, I don't know. It looks good.
But even within the context of the story, you're like, why did they like all these candles? Like, it seems like too much, but whatever. No, one, there was no craft services that day. Candle budget to be a bite.
Yeah. Yeah. So, they steal, they find medallion, but it's only half of the medallion, half of the double dragon medallion, right? Yes.
And the two halves, they represent body and soul. I don't know. One makes you really strong and one makes you flat Stanley. One makes you a piece of paper and then the demon from ghost.
Yeah. You can get up in somebody, basically. Possess them. Yeah, you could get up in somebody.
Uh, it's a, so Koga Shugo, which I think it's so funny that Robert Patrick's name in this is Koga Shugo. And he's like, what's funny about that? I've given myself this name. Okay.
But yeah, he has, so he takes this one half of them down and he is able to turn himself into like a black and white, like two dimensional shadow guy who's able to sort of like float, like, like shadow on surfaces. I don't know. Yeah. I guess it's a cool power.
I guess. I guess. In terms of like fighting, it would be much more useful to be as strong as 10 men. Yeah.
Sure. Ultimately, it's kind of his undoing. Yes. That he took the wrong half.
Yeah. That's weird. Then we meet up with, uh, with Billy and Jimmy and they're in some sort of an tag team underground karate fight. Yes.
And underground karate fight that has like a referee though and trophies and it feels like, um, blood sport where it's like the Kuma Te, it's like this underground thing, but also a little kind of organized, you know, it is the building is falling down though. They're all well, that's all of the buildings in the, uh, in the city are falling down. Did you like the little commercial they threw in sort of roto cop style? So I'm glad you brought this up.
Who are those guys? Hold on. Are Ed Feldman and Joe Larrario. You were you're on IMDB looking them up or what?
I am. I can't go to their pages because oh no, I can. Okay. It's working again.
Are they on the Mario Brothers TV show? They are not not on the Mario Brothers TV show. Damn it. I'm so sorry.
I thought they were Mario and Luigi or something. I did. Um, there was maybe that was Captain Lou Elbano. They had like a Mario and Luigi sort of look about them and it was just strange to have like just a weird commercial up for Jack City, the place to buy all of your, uh, to buy jacks to Jack the building that you live in, etc.
Well, Rob, I'll tell you how they ended up in this, in this picture. They were on a, they were the hosts of a TLC TV show called Furniture to go with Ed and Joe that aired from 1993 to 1997. And I guess they just made furniture. I don't know.
Well, that's these guys. They're the furniture guys, but now they're the Jack guys. Yeah, you don't know Jack City. Um, yeah, that's funny.
Do you think it's fun that the city is falling down and they're just using like jacks to like hold everything up? Um, a bit of a, a bit of a salient point being made by the film Double Dragon, don't you think? Um, what do you mean, dad? Jeez, I guess I don't know.
All right. Um, also there's a curfew that's in state after the curfew, you know, the gangs run the streets, right? We didn't say this, but the, uh, Elisomolano's dad in the movie, uh, is the chief of police. And he's played by a guy named Leon Russ, um, yeah, Leon, Leon, Leon, not Leon Russell.
No, Leon Russell, who is also, uh, the chief of police, uh, in Malibu in the big Lebowski. Oh my God. Get out of Malibu, deadbeat. Oh my God.
This, they're so lucky he didn't get his hands on a coffee mode when they had him in the, in the, Robert Patrick office. Yeah. Get your lazy gold brick and ass out of my quiet beach community. Well, the finest, finest performances.
He's also a sheriff in true grid. Oh wow. You know that. I didn't.
He's also in my favorite horror movie, A Quiet Place. Um, so after the tournament, um, uh, Billy and Jimmy are disqualified because Billy jumps on one of the guys back and he like gives a guy noogies and that's an illegal move. Yeah, I can't do that. Not even in the underground.
No, no, so he's disqualified. He, yeah. I mean, the whole arc of this where he's like getting his ass kicked and then Mark de Kazka taps in, beats the guy to the brink. Yes.
Being knocked out and then Billy's like, Oh, tell me, tell me, tell me. And it goes for a piggyback ride. Yeah. This is not a serious man.
It's not a serious man. Hey, another cold brother's movie, right? Oh yeah. I'm seeing here that Leon Russell plays constable in that.
He plays the constable and I remember the constable. Um, so yeah, and then, uh, so that this happens and then they, they're leaving and they're driving the, the dragon wagon and they get caught. Um, Billy, Billy is in the passenger seat and he says, Whoa, there's a serious babe right there and she's just my type. Pull over, right?
And some girl, uh, you know, like it seems like the car is broken down and, and, uh, and she stands up and takes her wig off and it's a, it's a dude and it's a trap and then like all of these gang members come out of nowhere and then a big truck pulls up behind him and it's bow, a Bobo. They know this because they have like a gang member database. Yeah, they have a GMDB. Yeah.
If you will. Oh, Bobo. It says here that his toll is $50 to let it, let us pass. So that is like real video game logic.
That yes, I kind of loved it though. Yeah. I was like, Oh, is this what this movie is? Just like literalizing a video game.
I think that's, I think that's fun. I think it's fun too, but I wish it stuck with that. Yeah. Well again, it would have been way more fun if, uh, it was just a going around fighting different gangs kind of thing.
Yes. It would have been more fun if it was just the Warriors, but with the double dragon boys. Yeah. It would have been.
It would have. But yeah, so they get into a little thing is Bobo, Bobo, this big, uh, this big muscular guy with a Mohawk and then he's got like his little like sidekick buddy who's. Oh yeah. His sort of a salacious crumb.
We get some real, we get some really good like extreme closeups of that guy. Yeah. And he's always like making sharp movies like yeah, like cock in his head one way or the other. Yeah, he's good.
He's good. It's the first, the first like 15 minutes of this, I think are so much better than the rest of the movie. Yeah. I mean, it's kind of fun.
Yeah, it's a dumb movie by all means, but it's kind of fun. So whatever they, uh, they, they drive away and there's a big chase between the, you know, the dragon wagon and this big truck. The truck has like a tracking, yeah, no tracking device on it. So they're like following them.
Yeah, there's, um, yeah. So no one's cars normal. They're all no one's cars. Yeah.
No one's cars normal. The dragon wagon is belching fire out of the exhaust pipe. Just yeah, and it runs on garbage. It runs on garbage, which seems like a great idea because the entire city has turned to like garbage, like there's just like piles of garbage in the street.
So like at one point, Philip K. Dick would have loved this. Oh, I heard what they use some of his, uh, uh, valus, uh, trilogy to get some ideas for us. The valus trilogy.
You talking about the vast active fucking, ever down valus, vast active, living intelligence system. Yeah, that's right. Valus for short, please. Um, yeah.
But yeah, so as they're driving, they get caught in an alley and then they're cornered and the boa, boa, boa, and a sidekick are going to, they're going to get out and they're going to fight here. And then, uh, all of these, uh, gang, these other gang members start coming out of the woodworking. Boa, boa, boa, and his friend gets scared off and they run away and then they turn, you know, or he was turned around and see the power core, the power core, which is an after school program. That's what it sounds like.
It really is. She's like, she says she's like these kids. They have nowhere else to go except my fun jungle gym playhouse in my vast warehouse. Yeah.
My, so in the first Ninja Turtles movie from 1990, there's a scene where they show like the shredder, like the foot clamps layer. It does feel like good version of that. It feels like a good version where like the kids aren't playing poker and smoke and cigarettes, but they're like playing video games and writing skateboards and discussing Bible passages. Yeah.
There's like a youth pastor in the back with like a backwards hat on. People are being baptized in the green goo. Yeah. And these kids, they don't have anywhere to go.
Most of them don't have parents. So they come here and Alistomolano is the leader of the power core. And yeah, so they, so they're able to get away. Alistomolano is like, what are you guys going to wise up and join the power core?
We could really use to, you know, two guys like you. It's a lot of shit like that. What are you guys doing? What's your plan?
Yeah, and they're like, it's funny though. We don't want to get involved. It's a lot of shit like that. It's funny because the reputation of the power core, just like among the general public, is that they're terrorists?
Well, yeah. The chief police, Alistomolano's dad, considers them terrorists. We're just having fun skateboarding isn't terrorism, dad. Yeah.
Well, I think they, is it like they blow up a plane or a train or something? And they're like, the dad is like, you see, they're terrorists or whatever. And Alistomolano's like, oh, false flag. Yeah.
Basically, she's like, I heard there were a bunch of drugs on that plane. Oh, like they blew up the drug cartels plane? Yes. Alistomolano and 213 year olds.
Yeah. Or a child army. They just put their heads together and took on the cartels. Yeah.
Yeah. Oh, yeah. And then her last line of the movie when she's like, this is a land of wolves. You should go move to the suburbs or whatever.
Whatever. Yeah. You're not a wolf. This is a land of wolves.
Yeah. New Angeles, of course. Yeah, right. Of course, it's New Angeles.
Wolf Angeles. I'm about that Scott Wolf, Angela. If you ask me. Come on.
He's like, yeah, this is a land of wolves. Yeah. Scott Wolf and Alistomolano started dating during this movie. They were engaged for a little bit.
Wow. Yep. What would you have had? I know.
Imagine that power couple. Yeah. Power Corp. You could call just them and their 200 children looking at a Dagelow arcade.
Yeah. We're going to Dago Arcade. Dago arcade? Wait, why?
Because she's Italian? Yeah. We don't talk like that. Come on.
Come on. No, but back at the Double Dragons Lair, which is an old theater that they live in. I love movies where people live in places that aren't houses when they're like, I live at this old abandoned theater. I live in a giant warehouse that I've made into my home.
My home. My beautiful home. I do like the theater as a home thing specifically because it seems like so unsuited. Yes.
Yes. It's like we'd popcorn for every meal. There it is. There are no beds.
Everybody has to sleep sitting up. There's a prop bed. It's just the front of a bed. So you can sleep behind it.
It's just like a piece of cardboard that you can lay next to on the ground. Yeah, that's it. But yeah. So and then they're they once say, so Tory has has half of the other half of the medallion right from the beginning around her neck.
And they're like, tell us, tell us about this. Tell us a story, Centauri. But they're they want to know what's going on. What's the deal with the medallion?
And she finally tells them that it's, you know, it's almost like a Lord of the Rings thing where they're like, I was too powerful for like one person to have. So I broke it in half and I hit it. I you know, hang on to this half and then I hit the other one where no one would ever find it. And you know, that's the one from the cold open where they immediately found it.
Yeah, there there it is. There it is. That's how they should have cut this together is her saying that. And then there it is.
No, and then we get we get to see where Bo Bo Bo goes to go to shoot goes. Well, we see we see the other half of them at dally and get delivered to. Yeah, that's that's in the beginning. He already has it at that point.
Okay, because what's her name? Lash delivered it. That's right. But yeah, Bo Bo Bo was like, you know, he's the leader of this gang and he goes to Koga Shugo and tells them about Billy and Jimmy Lee and how it's something about the medallion.
I don't know. It's like, I tried to get him. You find out that this was a this is much bigger than anyone realized. He was he was after them.
So Koga Shugo is like, all right, you're coming with me and and is they're down to the basement and they like strap him to the HGH chair. Yeah, it's like he gets bane. He gets bane is really what it is. Yeah, he gets made.
He gets all juiced up and he's all like, I wonder what is your yeah, because that's Batman forever is bane. No, no, that's in Robin. But the character of Bane, when did that come? Oh, that's a good question.
I cut down sure that bane from the movie. Let's see. 1993. Ah, bane must have been big.
Bane. Let's see. Yeah, January of 93. Yeah, very this guy's very bane coated.
That's the that's the deanie touch though. He's in there like, hey, you know what people love where I work. Yeah, they love when you stick. They love steroids.
Yeah, they love they love the juice. We are not putting OJ Simpson in our movie. Yeah, buddy, having me to following the news right now. So let's see, Kogushuga and his clan at some of his clan, some of his like, Tufts or whatever, they go to the theater where the drop double dragon live and they you know, they start to fight, turns into this whole thing.
And then Kogushuga uses his battalion to personates. It's all well, he's possessing her. Yeah. Yes.
So he possesses her and then they have to lock her in a cage and then he flees her body and lights the theater on fire. So she's stuck in a cage. She gets out. There's a lot of this going back and forth.
Bo, Bo, Bo, Bo, Bo, shows up. It's ultimately what happens. I mean, there's a lot of, there's no fighting, by the way. No, all of these action scenes are like, like Mark D'Causus can actually do martial arts.
