Double Edged Double Bill 235: Akira In Anime Slumberland

Revember is coming to an end for Double Edged Double Bill, but Thomas and returning guest Torrey Depina are here to end things on an animated note. Or rather, an anime note as the show returns to the world of Japanese animated films! First, a classic comic strip gets adapted in a rare Japanese/American co-production that will leave you sleeping on your flying bed with Little Nemo Adventures in Slumberland! Then, a cyberpunk world overrun by unsupervised teen gangs leads to body horror and surreal chaos beyond all comprehension with Akira! Together, our duo answers the crucial questions. Is the key to writing terrible songs a hot sauce stained napkin? How angsty can one horrible abomination of science gone wrong be? Which two films will they pick for next week's episode about Henson Company Productions? Well, ride your motorcycle past that annoying flying squirrel so you can listen to find out!
