Double Edged Double Bill 254: The Monstrous Motherly Antics of Serial Mom and Ma

Evil Dead Rise is coming this week to bring motherly Deadites to the forefront of the franchise. So, Adam, Thomas and special guest Lili Labens are here to devote a Double Edged Double Bill to horror films with monstrous mothers at their center! First, Best Supporting Actress Academy Award winner Octavia Spencer finally gets a lead role as the titular den mother in Ma! Then, Kathleen Turner is a very good mom and very efficient killer who did nothing wrong in John Waters' Serial Mom! Together, our trio answers the crucial questions. Does gore build a strong family unit? What exactly is Luke Evans hiding between his legs coursing with dog blood? Which two films will they choose for next week's episode about Forest Whitaker? Well, wipe those liver chunks off your shoe and stop dancing to Funky Town with all the cool modern kids so you can listen to find out!
