Double Portion Inheritance: Dead to the Law of Divorce (05/30/2013)

from Double Portion Inheritance · host Double Portion Inheritance

Many have misunderstood the words of the Apostle Sha’uwl (Paul): Romiym (Romans) 7: 4 Wherefore, my brethren, you also are become dead to the Towrah (law) by the body of Mashiyach; that you should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto Elohiym. This verse makes it appear that we are “dead to the Mosaic Law” in its entirety. But if you read the verses before it, you begin to understand that Paul is describing what is called “The Law of Divorce” seen in Deuteronomy 24. Romiym (Romans) 7: 2 For the woman which has a husband is bound by the law [of divorce] to her husband so long as he lives; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. 3 So then if, while her husband lives, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law [of divorce]; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man. At his first coming, Yahuwshuwa’s entire mission was to destroy the “Law of Divorce” which prevented the divorced tribes of Yisra’el from returning to YaHuWaH and his marriage covenant. Listen to Maria’s teaching in order to understand which law that we are now “dead” to.
