Double Portion Inheritance: How Does Good Friday Discredit Messiah? (03/07/2013)

from Double Portion Inheritance · host Double Portion Inheritance

Many of us have been brought up in the church to believe that Yahuwshuwa the Mashiyach (Messiah) died on “Good Friday” and he resurrected on “Easter Sunday.” Well today I am here to dismantle these lies and show how these deceptions actually prove to discredit him as the authentic Yahuwdiyth (Jewish) Messiah. Not only that, but Good Friday makes him out to look like a liar. First of all we must ask ourselves, “Why have we been conditioned to believe that Messiah was crucified on the 6th day of the week on Friday?” Well, the answer to this question is simple. The biblical account tells us that after Messiah was crucified and his body taken down from the stauros (cross), the women were in a hurry to anoint his body with spices, because at sundown began the Sabbath. Those within the Christian Church read this as though the “Sabbath” day spoken of here is the weekly 7th day Sabbath (Saturday). But what is being spoken of in all of the gospel accounts is an annual Sabbath called “a high Sabbath” (John 19:31) known as “Chag Matzah” or “The Feast of Unleavened Bread.” Beloved, if we don’t have a foundation for understanding the Holy Feast Days of YaHuWaH, we will naturally assume that the scriptures are telling us that the night of Messiah’s crucifixion was followed by the weekly Sabbath day (Saturday). But this is not the case. The day in which Yahuwshuwa’s crucifixion took place was called the “preparation day” followed by the annual Sabbath called “Feast of Unleavened Bread.” And we know also from reading the gospel accounts, that there were two more days following his crucifixion and his burial, and then yet another Sabbath (the weekly seventh day Sabbath), which is the day of his resurrection known as “First Fruits.” See Maria’s blogs: “How Does Good Friday Discredit Our Messiah?” http://doubleportioninheritance.blogspot.com/2011/05/how-does-good-friday-discredit-our_23.html “How Does the Sabbath Day Point to the Resurrection?” http://doubleportioninheritance.blogspot.com/2011/05/how-does-sabbath-day-point-to_25.html “The Queen of Heaven: Why Does the Church Celebrate Easter?” http://doubleportioninheritance.blogspot.com/2012/02/queen-of-heaven-why-does-church.html
