In this episode, Maria uncovers some of the fallacies that are often circulated about Thanksgiving & Chanukkah. Maria begins by declaring: “Thanksgiving is not pagan!” Every year I hear the same old rhetoric where people are purporting that “Thanksgiving” was a day to honor the slaughter of Native Americans. However, the truth is, the Jesuits in the Vatican have had and still have a vendetta against Abraham Lincoln because he was a genuine follower of Messiah and he did not become a Freemason like all the other Presidents did. The Jesuits to this day hate the Protestant Reformation because millions of people left the Mother Harlot Roman Catholic Church in the 1500’s when the Bible went into print in Europe. The Pilgrims as well as the Native Americans were both Lost Tribes of Yisra’el. There were just as many Native Americans who unjustly killed Pilgrims as there were Pilgrims who unjustly killed Native Americans. The massacre of Native Americans in 1637 is totally and completely unrelated to the day of “Thanksgiving” which was declared by Abraham Lincoln nearly 250 years later! President Abraham Lincoln is responsible for the Thanksgiving holiday we celebrate today, but he was not the first government official to recognize a day of gratitude. The Continental Congress declared a Thanksgiving holiday in 1777 for the 13 original colonies; George Washington called for a repeat of the celebration in 1789 for the newly formed United States. Periodic days of Thanksgiving were observed in the following years, particularly in the states of New England, until 1815 when the tradition seemed to fade from the national consciousness. The holiday began to experience a resurgence before the Civil War, when 30 states and 2 territories joined Sarah Josepha Hale’s Thanksgiving cause. Sarah’s hope was that Thanksgiving would become a day for the entire nation to show gratitude for its many blessings. Her cause became popular throughout the country. In fact, Lincoln himself shared an unofficial Thanksgiving meal with his family on November 29, 1860, just after being elected president. There are a total of “eight dedications” in the entire Bible and where we are commanded to cleanse and to “dedicate” (chanukkah) the altar in the Temple each time it becomes defiled! When we used to celebrate the abominations of “Christ-Mass, Easter, Baal-entine’s Day, Hell-O-Ween” etc. did we not defile the altar of our hearts? Of course we did! Now we must re-dedicate the altar of our hearts to YaHuWaH and we must offer up the Temple of our bodies as a living sacrifice to him (Romans 12:1). This is no small coincidence that the word “Chanukkah” is seen eight times in scripture in connection with the re-dedication of YaHuWaH’s Temple!
