Doubtful I Will Be At The Meeting

Send us Fan MailSo I am definitely not a meeting guy. Not because they are not needed, but because I feel that most of the time my solutions or contributions are beyond what the meeting crowd is ready for.  I am also an introvert which means I do not like conflict and have difficulty fighting for my position on a topic. It's a known fact that introverts often leave answers on the table because of our disposition. But then again this is not about me is it?   So it is possible that Thomas had some of these same traits and unfortunately because of the no doubt assertiveness of the extroverted Peter and perhaps others in the group, Thomas decided that his contribution to a certain meeting was insufficient enough that he would rather go to the beach and scale some fish than to attend another meeting about the destitute future they all thought that they were facing after Jesus' death. And though I cannot verify it I am pretty sure he was scaling some fish...  I suspect that if we knew precisely where Jesus and the holy Spirit would show up we would attend “all things God” just to be in His presence. But this is not the case; it wasn't then nor is it now. So after giving this message a listen I am sure you will be found skipping to all of your meetings singing, "I’m off to meetings I go, I'm off to meetings I go, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, I'm off to meetings I go."
