We tell the story of Douglas Spedden, whose survival that night (alongside his family) inspired his mother Daisy to write a children's book at Christmas, 1913--to help him cope with the unbelievable trauma, no doubt. Douglas' life was cut horrifically short just two years later, and the manuscript slept in a trunk for decades...until a descendant stumbled upon it and brought it out into the world.
