Next up: The race for superintendent of public instruction.Current Republican Superintendent of Public Instruction Catherine Truitt lost in a surprise upset in the March Republican primary to Michele Morrow, a nurse and mom who homeschools her kids. Morrow quickly faced criticism for old social media posts calling for former President Barack Obama and other Democrats to be publicly executed for treason. Her candidacy is a big contrast with the Democratic candidate, Mo Green, who’s been a longtime administrator in some of the state’s largest public school districts.
