DPR Episode 78: World Junior Preview Canada with Steven Ellis

2020 World Junior preview of Team Canada with special guest Steven Ellis of The Hockey News Steven and Peter review the Canadian roster, the outlook for the tournament. There are questions in goal and more cuts still to come but Canada may be an underrated team this year and may rally around the under dog, us vs the world attitude. The two top players for the 2020 NHL Draft will play for Canada in Alexis Lafreniere and Quinton Byfield. Will playing together tip the balance one way or the other as to which player is selected number one? Who will emerge as Canadas goalie? Guelph star Nico Daws has come from nowhere, can he run with it? The defense will be lead by two studs Bowen Byram and Ty Smith, and will have another 2020 Draft eligible in Jamie Drysdale, possibly as the seventh defenseman. Late additions released to Canada to help bolster the forward depth include Barrat Hayton (Arizona Coyotes), and Joe Veleno (Detroit Red Wings) and gives Canada a massive boost.
