Dr Brendan Shaw of Shawview Consulting discusses the findings of his report commissioned by Johnson & Johnson on 'Getting Australia to the front of the queue' when it comes to access to new medicines and medical technologies.Dr Shaw says a key lesson of the COVID-19 pandemic has been the reality of a global queue for new technologies, including vaccines. He says the experience means Australians are now acutely aware of this reality and the fact we are not at the front of the queue.
