Dr. Bridgette Peteet is a Professor of Psychology at Loma Linda University, and a California Licensed Clinical Psychologist. Dr. Peteet brings over 20 years of experience to conversations about women’s mental health, culture, and strength. Dr. Peteet studies differences in health and substance use through a community-based, culturally aware approach, values that match the goals of World Social Work Day. Her upcoming book, (dis)Honor Thy Mother: Daughterhood, Dysfunction, and Deliverance (Wiley, 2025), blends personal story, clinical insight, and research to explore mother-daughter pain and trauma, an often overlooked issue in women’s mental health.
