Dr. Bukavina and Dr. Castro share their experience aiding refugees at the Polish-Ukrainian border

In this episode, Urology Times® Assistant Editor Janelle Hart spoke with Laura Bukavina, MD, MPH, and Alberto A. Castro Bigalli, MD, about their recent mission to the Polish-Ukrainian border, where they aided thousands of refugees who were fleeing war in Ukraine. Bukavina, who has family and friends in Ukraine, has worked to raise money and awareness on social media and collect donations to send to the border. Castro Bigalli, who has experience helping civilians in times of crisis, immediately joined Bukavina in this effort. The 2 helped many Ukrainian refugees and garnered much support from fellow urologists. Bukavina is a urologic oncology fellow at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Castro Bigalli is an incoming urology resident at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
