Dr. Smith oversees one of the most innovative surgery departments in the country. Tonight, he discussed advances in pancreatic surgery, cardiac surgery, and aortic surgery. A major focus of tonight's program was skin cancer - ultraviolet light is the cause of most skin cancers. Sunscreen, niacinamide, and not using tanning salons will markedly decrease skin cancer. Finally, we discussed methods of facial rejuvenation - both noninvasive and surgical.
