Dr. David Harper of Mosaic Life Care

from The Best Of BrainTap Radio: Activate Your Brain's Peak Potential · host Soundville

On this week’s episode of BrainTap Radio, we speak with Dr. David Harper about functional medicine and the importance of brain health to overall wellbeing. Dr. Dave grew up in Oakville, attending O.T.H.S. in the late 70’s. Choosing the path of Chiropractic at an early age, he graduated from C.M.C.C. in Toronto in 1989. Since that time, he has completed certifications in Nutrition, as a Personal Trainer and Strength Coach, and as a Disability Assessor. He is a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition® graduate and has completed his certification in Concussion Management with Shift®, and also from Functional Medicine University and Dr. Daniel Amen. He is one of only a few Fellows of the Royal College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences and has an active sports practice. He has created the Doctor Move Well Corporate Training Program over the last 3 years to address the significant health challenges associated with a sedentary lifestyle known now as “Sitting Disease”. “We don’t smoke because we are now all familiar with the health risks associated with smoking – now chronic sitting is considered to be ‘at par’ with smoking in causing the same associated chronic diseases.” His mission is to make “Sitting Disease” and the impact of chronic sedentary lifestyles the new social cause to rally behind, saving the lives of Canadians ahead of time! A Sedentary lifestyle has been linked to one of the biggest up and coming trends in Health Care – dementia and the aging population. With the aging Baby Boomer population, a cash strapped Health Care system that only addresses sickness care that is of greatest cost at the end of life, dementia and loss of brain function amongst the greatest fears in the Boomer population, and with minimal beds available for managing this potential grey tsunami of dementia affecting 50% of the population over 80 years old – there is only one real option – do not get sick. Mosaic LifeCARE has set itself up to baseline, track, enhance, and milestone brain function in its Bulletproof your Brain program. Dr. Dave’s recent certification in Functional Diagnostic Nutrition, Functional Medicine University and Amen Clinics Clinicians program has connected Mosaic LifeCARE to significant resources and networks. His clinic in Mississauga is conveniently located at the intersection of the 427 and 401, just south of the Pearson Airport. His techniques are computerized, establishing scientific and true Health and Wellness Key Performance Markers that allow for verification of programs and services offered. As a Corporate Wellness Expert, he is available for talks and presentations and on-site Wellness Programs. As a Sports Specialist utilizing Applied Kinesiology and Functional Soft tissue management, he is able to dynamically address performance challenges and restore function quickly. As a Neurological Based Chiropractor, he is passionate about protecting your most valuable personal asset, your brain, from the consequences of chronic and relentless sympathetic overdrive in the intellectual athletic corporate world. He can be contacted at 905-629-0688 and the clinic address is 2800 Skymark Ave Unit #11, Mississauga, ON, L4W5A6 Be sure to visit https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/braintap-radio-activate-your-brains-peak-potential/id1334273587?mt=2 or visit us on YouTube https://youtu.be/5DyuB90m6Uc and check out previous episodes of BrainTap Radio and activate YOUR brain’s peak potential!
