Hawkins was originally a psychiatrist before diving deeper into consciousness. He wrote many books on the scales of consciousness, explaining that there are different levels that we can reside in from 0 to 1000. The lower levels are considered contracted, while the higher levels are expansive. Hawkins went on to share his teachings with the world in order to help others wake up to how the mind works.
