Dr. David Wohl: UNC Institute of Global Health on Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Cancelling Vaccine Funding

During the height of COVID-19, Dr. David Wohl recalled UNC hospital wards filled with patients “hungry for air.” He said the greatest lifesaver was the rapid development of mRNA vaccines. Now, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has canceled nearly $500 million in contracts and grants for mRNA vaccine development. Dr. Wohl joined Jeff Hamlin to share his reaction to Kennedy’s decision.
