hello welcome back to another episode of broken record my name is ellie i'm your host and today we're going to be talking about the dr dog concert so me and my sister this past week or so went to the dr dog concert and it was super fun it was at the neptune which is a small venue in seattle it's kind of by uw um it's not kind of by it is by oh it's right by greek row and they were super fun um when we got there we went immediately went upstairs and got merch which was fun they had a bunch of cool like crew necks and shirts and i think they had a tank top and they had tote bags and vinyls and it was super fun and the merch was had like really cool designs on it because it's their last tour dr dog is like retiring from touring after this tour so obviously the merch was like said like the last tour or whatever and so it was cool and then yeah the band that opened for them it's called toth um spelled t-o-t-h with with a little line above the low and i would be kind of scared to pronounce it but in their instagram bio it says like toth pronounces both but with a t and i was like okay that's kind of smart i mean like good for them for telling people how to pronounce it because it looks kind of hard yeah they opened it was super fun they i never heard of them before and i really liked that they walked out in like butterfly wings like i don't think that makes sense but you know like halloween costume now there's like fairy wings butterfly wings and all different wings um they walked out the three of them walked out with butterfly wings on and i thought that was funny because you don't really see people one wear costumes on stage two like grown men walking out on stage in butterfly wings and i don't know i don't know i just thought it was funny and unique and the lead singer played the trumpet which i thought was really cool because the trumpet is like really hard to learn and i was very impressed by it and so i'm gonna play a clip of it right now as you can tell they're very talented um after they performed dr dog came on and it was very exciting my sister and i have a playlist or my sister has a playlist but i listen to it with her whenever we're in the car that has three dr dog songs on it and so those are the ones that i'm most familiar with and i was really we were both really excited to see each of them perform black and so like just like unknowingly the first song that they opened with was one of the songs that we wanted to hear and it's called the breeze and so here's a clip from it yeah so hopefully you can tell why we like that song it's super cute it's like just got a good vibe to it and then after they played that song they played a whole bunch more and then the song then the second song that we want to hear popped up um it's called where'd all the time go i'm sure you know it it's very popular i think it's very much popular song it was recently on outer banks in season two that came out it was when the crew i'm blanking on their names like um jj and kiara and pope i believe were driving through charleston and this song played and so it was cool seeing that live in person because it was in a soundtrack but it's also cool because i love the song and i don't know i'm just rambling so here's a clip of where'd all the time go so that was where'd all the time go um that was kind of in the middle of the concert and they played a couple more songs then they went off stage and everyone thought they were never coming back ever again but they came back um they came back to the encore and they played a really long encore like usually encores are about like what three songs and they played i think five like because like everyone like they said they were really indecisive and also everyone in the audience was like chanting songs they wanted to hear so there was a whole it was a whole event but in the end they played a bunch of songs for the encore and the literal last song that they played the entire night was the third song we wanted to hear it was called nelly or it's called nelly it's not to change its name um and it's super cute and i love it and here is a clip so as you can tell nelly's got a good beat it's super fun it makes you want makes you want to move um and it's i think that's possibly my favorite song by dr dog um and yeah it was super fun the concert was great it was really it was a really small venue so like and basically anywhere you were you had a good view um which was really nice because audrey and i didn't really get there early we got there right on time and but we still had a great view and we could see everything which was really nice um and yeah it was super fun super cute i'm sad they're not touring anymore but they still have a couple more shows left um i mean yeah but i'm sad they're not touring again because i think it would be fun to see them in concert again but anywho that's not in the cards for it right now and yeah thank you for
