I'm just not even serious about that. Just for your own good, this isn't working. Yeah. Yeah, I just, yeah, I guess there's no excuse.
I mean, if you want to keep going down this path, you know, it's getting worse. Do the top of man. Welcome to the show. Did you know that your mom is a absolute sweetheart?
The cops shot our party down. We might need a new, I might need a new iPad. Sorry. Let's give it good for you.
Yeah. I'm sorry, I'm not going to stop now. Thank you to the show, Dr. Dr.
Dr. Fitsky. Thank you. Thank you, cheers.
Pitsky in the house. I see one of the other sunglasses on today, so. Fair enough. Yeah.
It's pretty cool room. Is also, I love this place. Seriously. Yeah, I like it.
It's pretty cool. It's a very cool neighborhood. A little bit of airport traffic here. It's very quiet, except for the aeroplanes.
But the aeroplanes are, I don't know, they're just not that, is the word, evasive. Maybe not. You want more barrel rolls? No, I just don't feel like it's too, like they don't see me in the backyard naked.
They just do the whiz-bye. Invasive. Trust me, when I take off for a burbak, I will be looking next time. Yeah.
Well, if that's what's going on back there. Oh, it's going. Yeah, bring your binoculars. Yeah, it's a festivity.
Last night, I had to accommodate my daughter when I had to come over with her friends to use the jacuzzi. And it was her and her girlfriend and two guys. Uh-oh. Yeah.
And I was like, I got held as she now. 18. I know. I know.
I know. Whatever they're doing. That's right. I can't say anything.
No, you can say something. You can say something. I was saying stuff would make it worse. I never said usually.
I told my manager last night and she said, you should start doing some push-ups and shopping, or clean your guns. And I was like, it's not. I don't think I need to do that. I already look.
Are you look scary? Yeah. I think the guys are, are they scary? For you?
No, I mean, they seem like they were working on their album. They're hip-hop artists. Of course. And they were working on beats in the bedroom.
The beat lab. Yeah, in the beat lab. They were my daughter's bitch. I was supposed to say stuff.
All right. They seem like nice people. And the only thing that's funny is my daughter and I had a laugh that this morning I went to check out the area. And there was some giant eyelashes on the side of the jacuzzi.
And I was like, do you lose your eyelashes last night? My dad and my friends. I'm like, OK. Is she that graduating high school?
Is that? Yeah. She's got a job. And she's also going to school now to she wants to be, what's that called, Katie?
I'm not sure what she landed on. Is she going to be a nurse? She wants to be a nurse. But she wants to be the one that gives botox and all that stuff.
Oh, yeah. Eventually. So she has to go through the degree. Then she can start doing that.
A med spa. Med spa stuff. Yeah. So I was like, that's a good idea.
Because if you get good, you get clients. You can start your own business. I will tell you. Well, no, it's a great idea.
And I fully supported her. But does that or a schoolteacher she was thinking of? No, she's the right call. Yeah.
She'll like this. But it's kind of loaded up here. So I want you to prepare. She might have to move to go get the career she wants.
I think that she has similarities to me when it comes to that. And I think that she'll go to Australia. If for the career she'll go anyway. OK.
Well, good. But as you tell, as you're cool with it. And you know that people are actually dissolving a lot of their injectables at this point now, too. So it's taking a bit of a turn.
You mean it's time to go back around and have another set or? Yeah, what does that mean? People are stepping it down. They don't want the big lips anywhere.
Oh, yeah. Yeah. The butts they're taking out. Yeah.
It's weird how this stuff follows these trends. Yeah. It was all boobs. And it was all butts.
And I don't get it. So you know what though? I always remember I had a girlfriend years ago. And whatever the new style in pants was that year, I've never forget she said, I hate that I know I'm going to like those.
And I said, what the hell are you talking about? She said, those are so stupid. But I've seen it before. Enough people will wear them that I will.
And she wasn't saying that she was a follower. She was saying, I will acquire a taste for that. I start to look good to me. Completely understand that.
That is the human foible, right? And I never thought I always thought, well, one thing we'll never see again. Thank God. Bell bottom.
Yeah. Right. Giddy's laughing. Yeah.
Jason says afflictions already back. Yeah. I mean, it looks all day. OK.
Yeah. It looks like it. Like a Tom Hardy looking thing. Yeah.
It's all bad. I was like, has Tom Hardy been uncooled twice already? Oh, no. And Hardy.
Oh, no. Oh, no. I'm glad I said it. Come on.
Oh, yeah, he's that. Yeah. He's been told. He's been.
I missed you. Are you OK? Yeah. Am I right?
I'm not really, but I'm all right. I got to be, you know. So I want you to be. Yeah.
I don't sleep that much. Katie and I are. I don't want to. OK.
OK. You figured if I was coming, this was the deal? Yeah, I didn't. I said to her today, I was like, I don't know if we're going to talk about it.
But I want to make sure you're OK with it. Otherwise, I'll just say I don't want to talk about it. Yeah, you don't talk about anything. But if she's OK with it, I'm OK with it.
Katie. Yeah, go ahead, Jason. Yeah, so we're getting divorced. And you know, it's my fault.
I'm hard to deal with. What? I would imagine. Yeah, right?
And then I can't stop my penis. I just keep doing things that I shouldn't be doing, even when I'm the leashes so loose. Well, let's talk about that for a second. Because that is an interesting topic for me.
And I've kind of gently brought it up to you a few times, which is that when the leashes fully loose, it's just hard to predict what people are going to feel. Eventually, somebody has something they feel that they don't anticipate or connect to somebody that they start going off with. I don't want to speak for Katie, but I think she's gone the opposite way when it comes to sleeping around. Like she doesn't really isn't that interested in it.
And I've become more into it, but also more. I think there was a time there where I did it. My therapist kind of helped me with it. It was like, you don't want to do stuff that's the thing that you're reacting to from your childhood.
So me being abused, according to my therapist and myself, will we work for years over it? I was doing stuff to get back. Reenactment. Yeah, so then it became like being somebody before you hook up with them.
And then that happened. And then the guy, I think the gay stuff just got too much. Like I feel like, you know, on my birthday, she said so she was drunk, but she said that she, you know, she's like, am I a beard to you? Am I your beard?
And I was like, can I, if anyone knows me, it's her. And if she thinks that? Can I feel like I know you pretty well too? No.
No. I know. No. No.
No. She didn't mean it. No, it's a viable question. She didn't mean it, but she ran it through her head, which means.
It was an exploratory question. It's like, because you've been evolving and changing and like getting to know yourself better. It was an exploratory question. No, but I get why you would say it, why you think?
I didn't want to check in as you're going off a certain direction. Maybe that's now not that it had been, but maybe that's not what she's become to you. Yeah. Yeah.
I still don't think that I could date like live with a man and I, I just feel like I've always been dependent on somebody, you know? Like I've always had somebody there. If I break up with somebody as only a year before I'm back in it, you know, I'm pretty much just had three people in my life, you know, you know, 10 years, 10 years, 10 years. And then they get sick of me or I can't control my urges.
I'm always, I'm an addict. It's like, you know, always come. I do too much creative right now and I can't stop. Dude.
I don't know. I'm in trouble. Well, why don't we start going back to some little 12-step action? It's free.
It's available right now. Because I can tell me I can't smoke. Wait. I'm not doing that.
Maybe some of you are serious about that. Just for your own good. This isn't working. Yeah.
Yeah, I just, yeah. I guess there's no excuse. I mean, you're going to keep going down this path. You know?
It's getting worse. Everything's crumbling around me. I don't think so. The sex, the creative, the weed, all go together.
It's all the same thing, right? What do you mean? It's all that addictive process. All of it.
Sex, great. And those are not for you, not different things. I'm not saying for everybody. I'm saying that's how it's all tied up for you.
Sometimes you got to decide is it worth it to me to keep living like this? To be able to take great. I'm a sweet, well, go eat, or do I need to try something else? And how far do I have to go before I change it?
But it breaks my heart to see you guys this way. Kills me. Yeah, I don't know what I'm going to do. Yeah.
But I already did it. It's not taking it back. So. But I definitely, for everybody, if I just sleep on myself.
Was that a yes? Yeah, I agree. I mean, I gave you a lot of chances. I know.
This is why this part, when you loosen it up too much, it gets so crazy. It gets too complicated. Humans aren't designed for this. You know what I'm saying?
Of course I do. It's like democracy is the least bad political system. The voice of monogamy is the least bad romantic. I think it's very lovely.
I wish I think it'd be really super crazy fun if people could just be that way and not have consequences. And I look at somebody I've actually added up the other day. 17 years. I've been, I used to enjoy not having a girlfriend.
So I could look up at anybody I wanted to. 17 years. And I know that I could just go off and do a thing one time. And it could be so.
It might be terrible because those things are always a crapshoot. But it could be so much fun. And it would be nothing. And I could go back to my life.
Even if I could have had a time machine and I could erase it afterwards, it would diminish your intimacy. I know it would. And that sucks. So every one of them.
It does suck. Especially the male. You're like, how can I do that? I can't be a female do that.
They could be able to do it too. But we're not wired for it. It's like a pick your poison. It's like when you go on vacation and you're in Hawaii and you're having such a good time that you go, what does actually cost you look at the thing, it's like, do you want to live in Hawaii and give up what you have living in the mainland?
Or do you want to not go live in paradise? Because there's no perfect solution. So this is what he's struggling with now too with the weed and the curatum and stuff too. But his brain is going, oh, Jesus Christ, I'm not used to talking to you without that word.
How many years were you on at them? I'm just saying, I'm talking to Jason. I'm talking to Jason. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, with Jason and his living.
It's true, it's true. That's the problem. It's too familiar here. You have friends.
Yeah. And you have friends ofwa pull for you. Yeah, don't feel like reaching out to them. Yeah.
So The Padami wants me to say in the, no, you can't you can't stuff like that. Yeah. And I'll I should probably, like you said, maybe change up. I just feel like 50 cr Hi-help for the everyday.
Let's say every time when it comes to that. We find a way crew I help us right around the corner. Hey, what cry oh I help right around the corner Kleindocument. It's a good program.
Doesn't sound cool. It's a good one. So I have to go and live somewhere. I bet they have an outpatient thing.
Oh, God. I'm just saying, if you're going to have, if you're seriously, you know, I didn't know what to tell you to do. I'm too close to you. I shouldn't even be advising.
I'm just here to support you. That's the deal. That's the deal. I feel too much around this guy.
You have three of the same feeling. Sure. Yeah. No.
I always feel like my job here is like, I can make the work easier. You know what I mean? And the work of us doing our job easier. And that's the best way that I can be helpful is to know, for Jason to know that whatever him is coming to the table to do a show, that he doesn't have to worry about the thing going off the rails because I can hold that bit up.
And I hope that that's available to us. I'm going to make it. You know? That's what I like to hear.
Because that's true. That is always your thing. I just feel bad for everybody else. You know?
An appotomy is just depressed that I do this to people that I care about. Who do you feel bad about? Katie. You know, her whole life is hanging out with this jerk off.
And then I go, fuck everything. And she's got no choice. I don't know what she's going to do. Now I worry about that.
I just feel bad that I, you know, that I did it again. I can't stop. And I'm old enough tried. You know, I got out of a lot of stuff.
But it just seems like maybe all the pressure of losing my job at Sirius, maybe I just started running again. Look at me. But I get this feeling. I'm going to just say what's in my head, what's my heart.
You enjoy beating yourself up in some way. There's two people in here. Maybe more than two. I don't think that's OK.
And you don't get it. You sort of don't get to do that. What do you mean? You screwed up.
And yeah, it's on you. But you don't get to beat yourself up for it. Because that's not making it better. That's not helping anybody.
It's not doing anything. It's for anybody. I'm just saying. You were talking about it.
So I'm being honest. I understand you are. I want to do this all day. Apotomy does.
And I fight it. I'm fighting it. I want you to reframe that. I don't think you sort of.
I'm still working my ass off. Good. I'm putting in as much effort as I can. Good.
I'm really trying to make it in the comedy world. And I'm trying to make the podcast work. You're talking my heart into it. I interviewed somebody yesterday.
And I was like, you did a really good job. You know, you should be proud of yourself. Yeah. Who is the beating up for?
Who is supposed to feel better by you beating yourself up? You? No. Katie?
It's just this tough. It's my father. That's what I was working on. It's just a negative coach.
It's always get up your pussy. Well, get up your pussy is not bad. It escalates from get up your pussy to you. You are a pussy.
Well, it seems to me. And I think it would seem to a lot of people who've been around you a lot, Jason, that there's very often one of your flaws is an ability to only see things in black and white. And so that manifests itself in this sort of situation as either you're looking at things and everything's coming up roses and you're doing great at everything. Or there's a couple of problems.
I'm the worst person ever. Yeah. And I'm the worst person is OK. It's a thought.
But then to beat the crap out of yourself for it. That seems not right. That seems excessive in some way. I know what you're up to with that.
I'd say your attic self doing that. To justify using or is it to make her feel bad? It just feels then I just want to explore it because I think we can get you a little above it a little bit. I'm not judging you for it.
I'm just saying it feels something's excessive. It's just been a man. I know people who go through so much more than I did than I have. So negative yourself for that.
It's just like every time I try to do something. It's failed lately. And I think that maybe there was a time where it was going the complete opposite. And I'm scared.
Well, I got that. That's real. That's real. I get that.
Is that worse than beating yourself up? Being scared? No. OK.
Be scared. Yeah. Well, I am. I have been terrified for a couple of years now.
I just keep hustling because I know I'll make it if I keep hustling. OK. Just uncomfortable in the meantime. Yeah.
Yeah. And it's a lot of, you know, I feel bad. You know, I like the show isn't doing that good. So I don't have enough money to pay for everybody.
So I let go of Kevin and everybody hates me for that. But nobody's into podcasting stuff was all down just everybody. Yeah. But down for a while.
Yeah, but it was that will turn. That will turn like everything. I'm really trying. It will improve.
You OK? Me? Yeah. Not really.
No, I imagine. Yeah, not really. You know what I'm talking about with him beating himself up? Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. Even when I would try to give him, like, not critiques, but just things that I was like asking for in the relationship, he would take that as, oh, so I'm not good. I'm all shit.
Yeah. He would always be very hard on himself. That's tough. I mean, I just feel like the world, it's like the world that Jason and I come from are two very, very different worlds.
What? And yet. You're not a skateboarder? And yet.
But I mean, just don't that my family couldn't be more different from different parts, literal opposite sides of the world. But the one of the things that I understand and I hate to put it all on, you know, on Christianity, but that the lack of emotional intelligence in the world that we came from and the way that that manifests is when there's like a little thing that somebody wants to talk to you about everybody's just made of porcelain and you just learn, I shouldn't bring up things that bother me a little bit because they're going to freak out and it's actually easier for me to just try to. People are generally afraid of important topics. It's just easy.
You're not alone that way. No, I know. I know that my wife and I are better at that than my parents were. And I'd say her family is.
Yeah, of course. And I think that's literally just a generational thing. Jason is better at that than his parents were and his parents maybe have been better at it than their parents were. But we all we learned that this is the way that you interact is if somebody tells you something bad, you have this irrational flip out and other than that manifests as you yelling at everybody and breaking stuff or you just go home and talk about how bad you are or how much they suck because they don't get all the things that you do for them and blah, blah, blah, blah.
But it's we're very, very, very bad at talking about uncomfortable subjects in a nuanced way that we can actually address and try to fix. Yeah. Yeah. Even if you can't fix it, just genuinely support somebody.
See, I see you. I see what you're going through. I feel it. I'm here.
Yeah. Yeah. I don't want to let anybody in. Yeah.
But you know, there are sort of things you've got to take care of before you can take care of other things and I'm worried that the substance and the sex has gotten to that point. That's all. And you have to kind of think about that. What you do with it is you're a deal.
It's pretty hard to, all the shame and stuff you're feeling is really, we're talking about shame here. This is all shame. And shame is hard to manage if you're still medicating. I know it feels better at the moment when you medicate and then it gets worse on the other side.
Yeah, you're probably right. Wish I wasn't. Again, I wish you could just take that stuff and be good and make it better. That's that.
It doesn't really work like that. You've been doing this for a minute. Yeah, a minute or two. Seen some of this.
I've dealt with my family now. My family, family, I've had it. And I've seen it all this from so many different perspectives now. This is the thing a human being, which kind of sucks.
It's also pretty cool. Can't be. I think it's, I think it's just come to the point where you've got to try something else. It's just as easy as just these days.
It's just, when we finish here, they can open your computer and do a zoom meeting. You don't have to turn your camera on. Just go to 10 of me. I just don't know if I can stop.
You don't know if. Who are the three people inside you? What do you mean? I don't know.
You said, I said a couple people. Yeah, there's somebody that's always, you know, and I get caught or I think it's me, but it's this other person that's always bashing me, always bringing up the mistakes. Hey, it could be better. Has someone else's better.
And that's not Jason. I don't think so. I mean, it is. It's a part of me.
I don't think I'm a bad person. I think I want everybody to be happy. Let me take a quick poll. Anybody here think Jason's a bad person?
No, no. Okay. 100%, not bad person. I just, I don't know if I have the tools to see it another way.
I just, I don't know. I feel like I'm in shock. I'm just doing it. Shock that you're here again.
Yeah. And I'm just, I'm on autopilot. Just making it hoping for a better day. There will be a better day for sure.
Even if you keep doing drugs, it'll be better. Yeah. I think you're making it less likely. And it's, I mean, it really, I don't want to, like I said, everyone's got a tough left, but it really has been quite a thing.
Lately. Yeah. I've seen a lot of bad stuff in my life, but in the last year, it's pretty gnarly. Like if I wrote him down, I don't think it, you know, it's a lot.
It's like, as much as you can, you know, I'm, I'm, unless I start having a hot problem again, they can't get me worse. You know, everybody's my friends are passing away and getting divorced. I'm sure it's not what it was. And just back down to shit kicker again.
And I'm like, man, I work so hard to get up here. I know that's not a good way to look at it. But what does that mean, shaker? It's nothing.
You're nothing again. Well, I don't think anybody feels that way. I don't think anybody feels that way. I get it.
I don't think that's, I kill them. You know, I'm better than that. Hmm. Well, I don't think anybody, you know, I definitely reject the line of thinking that.
And again, this comes from the way I was raised that because somebody has it worse than you. You don't have a right to feel bad about your problems. That's his shame and his beating himself up and stuff again. Same thing.
I mean, there's something that there's some kind of weird emotional language of the way that our people, like ultimately Jason and me are both like Scottish Irish. And I swear to God, it all goes back to them. It's bad that I'm feeling bad because I don't have a right to feel bad because look at that guy living in a tent. And it's like, no, that's a Scottish thing.
That can suck. You know what? They can have a bigger problem than you and it can still suck to be you right now. Those things are not mutually exclusive.
I reflectively do the same thing. They make a lot of sense. I feel like I fought with that opinion of myself, you know, even with the gay stuff. But that's who I am.
But a part of me hates me for it. Yeah, this disintegration you're talking about. You're not a whole. You can always have parts of yourself, but they're all together.
Yeah, integrate together. And they work together. I feel like you have different parts and they're not communicating with each other. They're just sort of attacking.
Yeah. Yeah, it does. It feels like they've regulated together. Let's put it that way at least.
Yeah. And I'm an odd fellow too. I don't have a lot of that in common with with many people, but because of the lifestyle that I live with the what you're calling odd is also people enjoy the difference. Oh, I was a little people do.
Yeah. Okay. One of the things that really one of the things that bugs me that you deal with is you told me once recently that you're being judged for the gay stuff that is like so unfair. That drives me crazy.
I should be we shouldn't know what you give one ask about that. I mean, Katie might have some feeling about that's different. That's in the intimate relationship with you, but the world should have. Yeah, it just might be more in my head than the world.
Oh, that's interesting. You know, I get it because I get it all the positive to all the negative like the positive is bigger for sure. Oh, so the negative is what we know as always. Yeah.
Just to me, like I live in a country where it'd be better if I wasn't me and I just went back to, you know, I can't help thinking that there was a time there where I wasn't open about it and everybody liked the show. Oh, I see. And now you're just doing the math. Yeah.
Because I don't really know the answer. Mm. Well, there's something there and this is just like a piece of the puzzle, but this would speak to what I was saying earlier, your sometimes inability to see subtlety and things. I think that there are some people who hate gay people and they're like, Oh, that guy's gay, then I'm out on this show.
Yeah. I think that that that's a very small number of people. I would say I would say I'm more faith than this guy. You have like Canadian fans and stuff.
It seems like I did your show and everybody loved me for it. Yes. But if I do it on here, they don't. Well, I think the difference there, I'm just being honest.
I feel like I've never had more positive feedback from being on a show ever than we did after the other day. Yes. I think I did a great job as admirable. Yeah.
I think I can explain that if I just finish. And by the way, that's a harsh world over there too. Right. But if people don't have a history with Jason, then and they get him through your show and they're more familiar with you, then I think they can see, Oh, this is a really interesting person.
I think I think the person in the culture who has this sort of combination of traits, what I was saying is for every one guy who, and the relationship of every show evolves and changes and goes up and down for every one guy who's like, he's getting on out. I don't do it. There's five, maybe more guys who go, the person I started listening to had a life that was similar to mine that I could relate to. I wish you the best, but I can't.
What you're into is not something I'm into anymore. And that person doesn't hate you. Yeah. So maybe talk about it less.
I have been. Yeah. Because what Telly is saying is that they need you to be something different. Yeah.
Right. So you can't have this also, but they would like you to be simple. Sure. And if it wasn't that it might be something else.
There's been shows I listen to, particularly something like a podcast or a radio show where you really do have an intimate relationship. It's not your imagination. You really do know that person. There's a show I listen to and it's got more popular.
I feel like the guy's starting to get a little cocky in a way that he used to be very self-effacing. And I'm like, Oh, this is a little less fun for me. He can't help it. He was no one.
You two calls in the show. People can. Do you ever talk about this kind of stuff? See what's going on?
See what people need from you want from you? I feel like most of the it's like a tight community that love me. You're a fan of our experience about Elismania. They're I can't believe we can't use the effort here.
It's just doesn't feel natural. We have like five times on that. What is Elismania? But they are so first of all, they're wonderful.
But second of all, they're so appreciative of you and what the world you create and stuff. They really appreciate it. I appreciate them too. Maybe Elismania got canceled too.
Right? That was good. Yeah. Maybe you need another Elismania kind of bring you get to.
I've worked on that for two years. I understand. And then I can't believe I called you when I heard that. See a man of things that fell through to still be like we have a really good event coming up and then just boom.
Did somebody sabotage you? Yeah. Somebody called. What is it you're doing that you're not supposed to do?
Well I don't know. Somebody got killed in an exhibition fight in Vegas and now they're looking for people. But that's one part of it. But the other part is somebody called the athletic commission correctly on that part and said Jason Ellis needs a license.
And then I see the yesterday or two days ago fight circus where they have my fights. They have musical chair. They have the human pinata fight. And I might wait.
That's my. Yeah. But it's I invented that fight. It's Katie's.
I've been way back. Yeah. That was the human pinata fight was my idea. I was proud of that.
I'm pissed with you. You should talk to Rampage about that. So how do they get away with that? You don't.
They're in Thailand. Oh, so they just did a pay-per-view in Thailand. So you know they're not taking a license. Well now we're trying to get a license because Lewis wants me to do Elismania at Skankfest.
You guys talking again? Yeah, we're cool. Yeah. See?
I told you that didn't make sense to me. I was a day orchestra and all those guys were all good. So it's very cool because I really do like those guys. And that one was a, you know, that was a, you know, that was a show.
