Dr. Edwin Martini, Provost, University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh

In this episode, Dr. Chris Jochum is joined by Dr. Edwin Martini, Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. An accomplished leader and scholar, Dr. Martini defines leadership as motiving and aligning people to move in the direction of a shared vision. Dr. Edwin Martini Bio: Ed Martini is Professor of History at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, where he currently serves as Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. Prior to joining UWO in July of this year, he spent 18 years at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan where he held a series of progressive leadership positions including associate dean, Associate Provost, and, most recently, Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning and Founding Dean of Merze Tate College. He is the author an editor of several books, including Invisible Enemies: The American War on Vietnam, 1975-2000 (2007), Agent Orange: History, Science, and the Politics of Uncertainty (2012), and At War: The Military and American Culture in the Twentieth Century and Beyond (2018, with David Kieran).
