Dr. Jeff Baier, DVM shares his experience as a leading veterinarian at Planned Pethood International and for other unique animal rescue organizations. Stop reading books, taking courses and watching videos! Your clients and dog are the best teachers!

Dr. Jeff Baier, a veterinarian in Colorado for 30 years, takes us into the world of Planned Pethood International, a not-for-profit organization providing low-cost health care to people and organizations and promoting spay and neutering through campaigns, education and application.  Jeff also volunteers at wildlife rescues for animals of all kinds. The SnipPet Tip is on how not only dogs, but clients, are a valuable resource for learning about dogs, how to provide information to people, and why some techniques are limiting, ineffective or counter-productive. Season 4 is interviews with people and organizations that help animals. Increase your awareness and be part of the solution by listening, sharing, and reviewing.  Season 3 dives deep into trending methods. Are they right for you and your dog? Season 2 shares the learning journey of my clients with dogs with different issues and backgrounds; always interesting and a great way to feel a connections with others who have similar experiences.  Season 1 starts by sharing my unique learning journey and then dives into why positive reinforcement training (and practices under that "umbrellas") are often limiting, ineffective and/or counter-productive with dogs over 6 months. It finishes with an introduction into cognitive behavioural therapy and UPWARD Dogology.
