Jeffrey Gold, M.D., became the 9th President of the University of Nebraska System on July 1, 2024. He is a former cardiothoracic surgeon and the chancellor of the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Gold has raised over 800 million dollars in private philanthropy while also mentoring and developing leaders.
