This week on the ABCA Podcast we have Dr. Joe LaPlaca, founder of Ares Elite Sports Vision. He did his undergraduate work at Marquette and has a Doctorate of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. Dr. LaPlaca is an adjunct professor at Butler University and works with the Butler baseball team. He is also the Optometrist for the Final Four. Although all of us in the baseball industry understand how important vision is to the game, we are still on the ground floor of how to train that in our athletes. Dr. LaPlaca discusses several different topics here as it pertains to vision and performance. The ABCA Podcast is presented by Netting Pros. Netting Professionals are improving programs one facility at a time, specializing in the design, fabrication and installation of custom netting for backstops, batting cages, dugouts, bp screens and ball carts. They also design and install digital graphic wall padding windscreen, turf, turf protectors, dugout benches, dugout cubbies and more.
