After graduating with a degree in Biology from Minot State University he went on to optometry school and received his Doctor of Optometry (OD) from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon in 2008.  Following optometry school, Dr. Keith completed a hospital-based residency at the Kansas City VA Medical Center in Kansas City, MO, where he received further training in ocular disease. In 2009, he joined the full-time faculty at the Illinois College of Optometry (ICO) in Chicago, IL. As an Assistant Professor, his primary focus was clinical teaching of optometry students and residents while seeing patients at the Illinois Eye Institute. He also taught in the laboratory, the classroom, and served as the Chief of Eye Care Services at the Sidney Hillman Health Center, a multi-disciplinary health center in Chicago. His passion for education was acknowledged by receiving six teaching awards while at ICO.
