Dr Laurie Thompson

This week on the Accessible Hunter Podcast we’re bringing you a different kind of conversation… and it’s a powerful one. We’re joined by Dr. Laurie Thompson — an educator, author, and advocate who lives at the intersection of faith, disability, and real-world inclusion. At just 14 years old, Laurie was in a devastating car accident that left her permanently disabled. That moment didn’t just change her life, it shaped her purpose. We get into: • Life after a life-changing injury • Finding purpose through pain (without the clichés) • The difference between being included vs. just being allowed in • How communities—whether it’s churches or hunting camps can do better with accessibility This episode hits on something we talk about all the time… just from a different angle. It’s about identity. It’s about belonging. And it’s about making sure everyone has a place—no matter where that is. 🎙️ This one will make you think. Please check out her two books on Amazon.
