She is one of only 10 black female fellowship trained Orthopaedic Traumatologists in the United States. She is also the Medical Director for the Orthopaedic Trauma Service Line for the world-renown Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, affiliated with the Baptist HealthCare hospital system.  The path to her dream career was fraught with personal and professional obstacles and challenges. Through it all, Leslie has maintained her faith in God, her giving spirit, her love of humanity, a desire to serve, and an exceptionally positive attitude.In this episode, Leslie takes us through her journey to becoming an orthopedic surgeon, her faith, grit, the importance of family and maintaining relationships.
