He was instrumental in increasing the recognition of traumatic brain injury as a cause of hormonal deficiency. His first book, The Clinical Application of Interventional Endocrinology, is recognized by his peers as a dissertation on the standards of care and assessment for hormone replacement medicine. His academic standards and medical knowledge have been recognized by USC, where he holds a voluntary position as associate professor at the USC Keck School of Medicine. Dr. Gordon currently lectures and works with veterans alongside Andrew Marr at the Warrior Angels Foundation.
