Dr. Mark Husbands was born in Cardiff, Wales, and immigrated to Canada with his family in 1968 when he was seven years old. A graduate of York University in Toronto, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies with a minor in music. At the University of Toronto, he completed a master’s degree writing a thesis on the language philosophy of Ludwig Wittgenstein and Martin Heidegger, and launched the academic journal Prolegomena. He obtained his doctorate in Christian theology from the University of St. Michael’s College at the University of Toronto (Toronto School of Theology). Dr. Husbands officially began his tenure at Trinity Western University on July 1, 2019. He is a dedicated family man serving Christ at home with his wife, Rebekah, an educated pediatric nurse, who has stood by his side faithfully and lovingly.
