Dr. R. Glenn Hubbard has been Dean of the Columbia Business School since July 1, 2004. A Columbia faculty member since 1988, he is also the Russell L. Carson Professor of Finance and Economics. Additionally, he is a visiting scholar at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington and a member of the International Advisory Board of the MBA Program of Ben-Gurion University. In government, Professor Hubbard served as deputy assistant secretary of the U.S. Treasury Department for Tax Policy from 1991 to 1993. He served as chairman of the U.S. Council of Economic Advisers and also chaired the Economic Policy Committee of the OECD. He is a past Chairman of the Economic Club of New York, life member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and Co-Chairman of the Committee on Capital Markets Regulation.
