He is the Founder of the Center for Investigating Healthy Minds at the Waisman Center,University of Wisconsin-Madison. In addition to his leadership role at the Center for Investigating Healthy Minds, Dr.Davidson is the William James and Vilas Professor of Psychology and Psychiatry and Director of the Waisman Laboratory for Brain Imaging and Behavior, also at UW-Madison. His research is broadly focused on the neural bases of emotion and emotional style and methods to promote human flourishing including meditation and related contemplative practices.
