Episode 53 Dr. Robert Knox The anatomy labs at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, Scotland had a difficult time procuring cadavers in the 1820s. Laws at the time limited professors to only obtaining the bodies of criminals sentenced to death, leading educators to take desperate measures in order to obtain specimens for their classes.
