Dr Ros Jones: The retired paediatrician who stood up for the children

Dr Ros Jones, MD, FRCPCH is a retired Consultant Paediatrician with a special interest in neonatal intensive care and paediatric HIV. She served on the Advisory Committee of the National Perinatal Epidemiology Unit and on the Education & Training committee of the RCPCH.  She was an active member for many years in the British Perinatal Trials Group. As Clinical lead for Women & Children’s Services, she was involved in pandemic planning for avian flu at the busy district hospital where she worked. She has over 40 years’ experience in the NHS. After retiring, she undertook several tours teaching on SAFE Obstetrics courses in various countries in Africa. In March 2020, she renewed her medical licence in order to help but children were clearly not affected by covid-19 and children’s wards were eerily quiet.  Ros found herself campaigning to get schools reopened and subsequently set up a group of concerned health professionals and academics lobbying the regulatory authorities about the recklessness of rolling novel technology covid vaccines out to children and has provided a detailed witness statement for the UK COVID-19 Inquiry. Ros is co-chair of the HARTgroup and also a lighthouse keeper for the Cape Byron Lighthouse Declaration.
