Dr Tony Cunningham - Shingles Awareness Week

Aired February 26, 2024. Ahead of Shingles Awareness Week (February 26 to March 3), new research has revealed that Australians aged 50 to 79 have limited understanding of shingles. The survey showed that while approximately three-fifths (62%) of people perceive the impact of this disease as 'extremely negative', only about one in seven (14%) believe they are extremely likely to be personally at risk of shingles in their lifetime.
