Draft Lotto Madness!

from Nation Real Life

Happy Monday and welcome to another edition of The Real Life Podcast! This week's episode features a short staff but there were plenty of topics to debate. Yaremchuk managed to explain what happened at the NHL Draft Lottery on Friday and that led to a big debate about whether it'd be better for the Oilers to go on a long playoff run this season or pick first overall. From there, they discussed the NHL's recent announcement that 26 players have tested positive for COVID-19 and how that could affect the league's return. They also threw around the idea of players opting out of the return and how that could be perceived by both fans and the other players in the league. Today is also the four year anniversary of the Taylor Hall trade and the 30 minutes of madness that happened. The trio talked about their initial thoughts on the deal and if they think the Oilers won that trade. Also, since it was just the three football fans on the pod, they also dove into the Cam Newton signing and the beautiful smokescreen that the Patriots pulled off. Enjoy the episode! Hosted on Acast.
