Draft Profile - Jake South
from The Footy Yarn Hosted by The Footy Yarn
Ahead of the draft, some of the local talent vying to get picked up join me in the studio to discuss their year and look ahead to the draft. The leading pure ruck of WA's draft class, Subiaco's Jake South burst on the scene after a quiet draft year in 2020, with little expectation of himself to be in the conversation for the draft. That said after a strong year with Subiaco averaging 23.6 hit outs a game in the Colts before going up to prove himself in the Reserve's in the last 3 rounds of the season, Jake has proven himself worthy of selection in this years draft and could be a late option for clubs looking to bolster their ruck stocks. If you want to see more of Jake or any of this years draft class, check us out on YouTube under The Footy Yarn where you can watch our Road To The Draft series, where I go head to head with all of WA's top draft prospects out on the footy field.
