Drag Story Hour isn't grooming anyone. I'm proof of that

Like every lgbtq kid raised in a fundamentalist Christian/Catholic household, I was relentlessly, brutally GROOMED to  be straight. The disingenuous, red pilled, craven, spineless, pathetic cowards spreading LIES about the drag Story Hour don't want you to think about what I and every other gay kid who I grew up fundamentalist Christian or Catholic went through when our parents, churches, and communities pulled out all the stops pressure, shame, threatening, and beat the gay out of us.  They don't want you to think about all of the SHAME, FEAR, and PAIN they all put us through to try to FORCE US to CONFORM to the sexual orientation and gender identity they decided we should be defined by, regardless of what we wanted for ourselves.  They don't want you to think about how we actually WANTED that grooming of us to work, how we HELPED them groom us at every turn, how badly WE WANTED TO BE STRAIGHT MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE IN THE WORLD. And they SURE AS HELL don't want you to think about how in spite of all of that, none of that makes the slightest change to our sexual orientation or gender identity.  Because if you think about how all of those things DIDN'T DO A SINGLE GODDAMN THING to influence our sexual orientation or gender identity in any way WHATSOF*CKINGEVER, the idea that a drag queen reading a story book is going to do what all of that couldn't do will start to sound pretty goddamned stupid.
