'Dragon's Breath' - A Virtual Book Reading

Welcome to Hot Topics! In this episode, we have our first virtual book reading! Returning guest Dawn Menge will read and discuss her children's book "Dragon Breath" with our listeners.Who is Dr. Dawn Menge?Dr. Dawn Menge writes a children's book series based on her real-life adventures and friends titled "Queen Vernita's Visitors Educational Adventures," aimed at Pre-K to 6th grade. She has just sent her thirteenth book to print and is excited about it. The book's format follows calendar skills, days of the week, months, and seasons, with Queen Vernita meeting a new friend and subject each month, learning seven additional facts about each topic. Queen Vernita has held baby alligators throughout her kingdom, swum with sharks, seals, and manta rays, and even had a baby sea horse wrap its tail around her finger. Dr. Menge also has a new book titled "Dragon's Breath," where King Teddy Bear seeks the answer to his Kingdom's mysterious black smoke. His job is to protect his villagers and help them thrive, as the once beautiful gardens and crops are now withering, and his precious villagers are saddened and fearful.
