In this video, Ashley reviews both consent orders from the New Jersey Board of Massage and Bodywork that we posted the past 2 weeks. She also goes over the regulations and statutes for massage therapy licenses in New Jersey as well as the scope of practice on what is allowed and why these practitioners got fined/their licenses suspended for doing incisional drainage, pushing fluids out of clients, using needles and many other things. ️️-The letter states that "post-op massage is also known as lymphatic drainage massage or manual lymphatic drainage. Lymphatic drainage massage is a gentle form of massage used to relieve painful swelling caused by lymphedema. The massage moves a patient's lymphatic fluid to their lymph nodes, allowing the patient to expel the lymphatic fluid naturally through a bowel movement or urination." - ️The business practices chapter of our regulations states: " A licensee who engages in the use of advertising that contains false, fraudulent, misleading or deceptive claims is engaging in professional misconduct."
