Dread Media - Episode 825
This week, Desmond and Tom ring in 825 episodes with a look at the cinematic world of GI Joe. First, they watch the classic animated movie GI Joe: The Movie. Then, in the early aughts, there were several more adult animated web-series type productions that comprise close to feature length films. We take a look at the most prominent one of those: GI Joe Renegades. Then, the live action era gets its due in reviews of GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra, GI Joe: Retaliation, and, ahem, Snake Eyes: GI Joe Origins. Among the many audio delights in this episode, the following songs get spins: "GI Joe The Movie Theme Song" by Ford Kinder, Spencer Michlin and Barry Harman, "Little Guns" by Oingo Boingo, "GI Joe" by Melvins with Mike Patton, "Snake Eyes" by Painkiller, and "Ivan Meets GI Joe" by The Clash.
