Dream Catchers - Independence and Freedom for all - LesPaul Morgan

from Z Z Archive 2016 · host Brain Injury Radio

Today is Advocacy Day for Access & Independence in South Carolina so Tonight’s Topics will be Independence, Freedom, and Equality FOR ALL that’s what Dream Catchers is all about regardless of what disability you have! That’s also why the ADA (The Americans with Disabilities Act) was fought so hard for! Disability Rights are Civil Rights and there for are protected under this law. Although I am a Man with multiple Brain Injuries, and Aneurysms I first and foremost consider myself a cross disability survivor working to help others find their way through the maze working at a Center for Independent Living where at least 51% of the employees have a disability. I truly believe that if we start working with Centers for Independent Living and keeping the uniqueness of the Brain Injury Radio Network at the same time to develop Life Skills, Goals, learn the great values’ of becoming a Certified Peer Supporter and oh so much more I believe we could strengthen the disability communityre!!! Dream Catchers started with a Dream, A Dream much like that of Doctor Martin Luther Kings. One of Freedom, Justice and Equality for all regardless of Race or disability! Free at Last Free at Last!!!! 1.  Today in SC is Advocacy Day for Access and Independence we will talk about that 2.  Disability Rights are human Rights 3.  Independent Living Centers have a federal Mandate 4.  Inclusion for all not the few 5.  Discrimination issues and federal laws 6. Helping Navigate the Maze 7.
