Drinkwitz Warns College Football's Future

Missouri football coach Eli Drinkwitz raises alarm on college footballs future, warning that massive spending gaps on player deals could turn the sport into a lopsided affair like Major League Baseball. The rise of name, image, and likeness money and the transfer portal exacerbates the issue, with powerhouses piling on even bigger NIL funds from boosters. This widens the divide, threatening smaller programs and fan interest. Drinkwitz has been advocating for changes to level the field before its too late, as direct payments now roll out and the real test comes this fall.
