Drive-Thrus, Cell Phones & Social Distancing: The New Normal

from My Stuttering Life · host Pedro Pena

Today's world is changing due to the Covid-19 virus.  What we enjoyed in the past has now gone away; restaurants are closed, concerts cancelled, conferences cancelled, festivals cancelled, grocery store shelves are almost bare, and we must maintain social distancing to combat this virus and lower the infection rates.  If you are a PWS (person who stutters), the occasional excursions for take-out have now become the only way to obtain take-out food.  The occasional cell phone and laptop use is now the only way we communicate since businesses are closed and we conduct meetings via Skype or Zoom.  Our living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms and closets have become our new office space.  As a person who stutters, I am now pushed out of my comfort zone more than ever and I'm adapting to this new normal.  Thank you Thomas Kenyon from Keeping It Reel podcast for that AMAZING voice over intro.
