Driver Pleads Guilty in Fatal Collision | Nottingham News
from Nottingham News Today | 2 Min News | The Daily News Now!
A 41-year-old driver, Donna Baldwin, has pleaded guilty to causing the death of 71-year-old pedestrian Carol Miller in a collision on Linnell Street last November. Miller, who was crossing the road at Carlton Hill, died two days after the crash. Baldwin, driving a white Mercedes, remained at the scene and spoke with police. The judge accepted her guilty plea and noted she’ll receive credit at sentencing, but warned a jail term remains possible. A pre-sentence report is ordered, and Baldwin is currently disqualified from driving. The victim’s family has been offered support from specially trained officers and is requesting privacy as they grieve. Sentencing is set for later this year.
