Drives

"Advance single from upcoming album "Pantemonium". Mixed by Chris Fudurich. New Wave for 2013 from the 80s best never-weres." For some it’s faith in God above that keeps them to the right Then there’s those where fire below keeps them up at night Some want to be told what to do Some need to do the telling-to They're puppets dancing on a string Pulled by mysterious things It drives them crazy, drives them out of their minds It ties them up and they can’t get free from it It drives them crazy, drives them out of their minds It locks them up and it takes control of them For some, the feel of drink or pills For some, it’s goods and cash Then there are those darker thrills: The leather and the lash Some of us still don’t know why We get up, work, live, and die Like an itch that can’t be scratched It goes away but it always comes back It drives you crazy, drives you out of your mind It straps you up and it takes you for a ride It drives you crazy, drives you out of your mind It ties you up and you can’t get free from it
